Your Safety
Stay Safe While Walking or Running in Your Neighborhood.
1. Be Visible: When walking or running at night, wear reflective clothing and carry a flashlight or wear a headlamp. Make yourself visible to motorists and other pedestrians.
2. Stay Aware: Keep an eye on your surroundings. Stay alert and avoid distractions such as headphones that might prevent you from hearing approaching traffic or people.
3. Follow Traffic Rules: When crossing streets, use crosswalks and obey traffic signals. Make sure to look both ways before crossing and give vehicles the right of way.
5. Buddy System: Donβt want to walk at night? Consider walking or running with a friend or a group. Be on the lookout for special Hill 99 Events too, where we can tackle the Hill together!
6. Share Your Route: If you need to walk a bit farther to get to the start of Hill 99, always inform someone of your planned route and estimated return time.
7. Trust Your Instincts: If something feels off or unsafe, trust your instincts and change your route or seek help if necessary.
Remember, at Hill 99 Club, safety comes first. By staying vigilant and following these safety tips, you can enjoy your walks or runs while exploring the neighborhood with confidence.
Happy & safe running or walking!
